Six pieces, two tiers
One design, built at two volumes. Tier 1 carries four marks across the chest and the run down the sleeve. Tier 2 keeps one mark on the chest and puts the full print on the back, in grey or in red.

Every mark on it has been shot at
Nothing on this design is clean. The T is our own logo, blown open, with the pieces still sitting in the air around it. The skull is chipped. The globe is torn straight through. Every mark carries the same rough finish, the way a thing looks after it has been under fire and stayed standing.
That is deliberate. Controlled chaos does not come without cost. When it is time, these people go in at a hundred percent, and they come out carrying what it took to get there. Character, fight, the will to keep going long after the plan stopped working. The print is not what you look like walking in. It is what you look like coming out the other side.
What is printed where
- Tier 1, the full build
- Four marks across the chest: a broken T, a skull, a torn globe and a second T. The wordmark runs down one sleeve, three skulls on a blade down the other.
- Tier 2, stripped back
- One mark on the chest, and the three skulls on the blade printed large across the whole back. Grey or red.
We are capable of creating more chaos than most people could ever handle. The difference is that we have been trained to control it.

By the time the noise starts, the outcome is already decided. Not by luck, and not by whoever moves first.
It is decided by people trained at the top end of the spectrum, who know to the round what they are able to do to a room, and who pick the second they do it. Who walks back out of that building is not chance. It is a call, and it belongs to one man.

Controlled Chaos: military hoodies and t-shirts, built on achievements
Controlled Chaos is a design from The Trace, a veteran owned military apparel brand from the Netherlands. It runs to six pieces in two tiers, hoodies and t-shirts, printed in grey or in red on black. Every piece is cut for daily wear off duty and printed to survive it.
The name comes from what a contact actually looks like from the outside. Everyone moving at once, noise from every direction, nobody where they were a second ago. From the inside it is the opposite of chaos, because every position was called before the first round left the barrel. That is the idea the print carries, and it is why every mark on it looks like it has been shot at.
The hoodie is a 270 gsm brushed fleece and the t-shirt is 200 gsm cotton, the same blanks we use across the collection. Sizes run from XS to 3XL and shipping is free from 75 euro, worldwide.

Questions about Controlled Chaos
- What is the difference between Tier 1 and Tier 2?
- Tier 1 is the full build: four marks across the chest, the wordmark down one sleeve and three skulls on a blade down the other. Tier 2 is stripped back to one mark on the chest and the full print across the back.
- What do the marks on the chest mean?
- They are all drawn as if they have been shot at. The T is the Trace logo blown apart, and the skull and the globe carry the same damage. It stands for going in at a hundred percent and coming out the other side still standing.
- Where is the print, on the front or the back?
- On Tier 2 the design sits large across the back, with one mark on the chest. On Tier 1 it sits across the chest and down both sleeves.
- What is it made of?
- The hoodie is a 270 gsm brushed fleece, 50 percent cotton and 50 percent polyester, so it is heavy rather than thin. The t-shirt is 200 gsm and 100 percent cotton.
- How does the sizing run?
- T-shirts run from XS to 3XL and hoodies from S to 3XL. The hoodie is true to size with room at the arms, our model is 187 cm in an XL. The t-shirt is a regular fit, our model is 185 cm in an L.
- How do I wash it so the print stays sharp?
- At 30 degrees maximum, inside out, and skip the tumble dryer. That is the whole trick.
- Do you ship worldwide?
- Yes. Shipping is free from 75 euro.
