The Argus Panoramic Night Vision Goggle puts four image intensifier tubes in front of your eyes instead of two. The two centre tubes give you depth perception, the two outer tubes fill in the sides, and together they open the view to roughly 100 degrees. A regular binocular gives you about 40, so you stop turning your head to see what is next to you.
The tubes are NNVT7 white phosphor with a figure of merit of 2000 or higher. White phosphor shows the night in black and white instead of green, which is easier on the eyes over a long night.
It runs on four AA batteries in a battery pack, lasts around 100 hours on a set, and is waterproof to two metres for thirty minutes.
Everything comes in a black hard case with foam cut-outs. Inside you find the goggle, a helmet mount in the same coyote tan as the goggle, the battery pack with its power cable, and four day filter caps that protect the tubes when you check the goggle in daylight. An Allen key for the mount is included as well.

Image tubes
The figure of merit is the resolution of a tube multiplied by its signal to noise ratio, and it is the number that tells you how much a tube actually shows you at night. Every goggle we sell has four tubes of 2000 or higher.
For reference, the four tubes in our own unit were tested on 21 March 2025 and each resolve 68 line pairs per millimetre with a signal to noise ratio just above 30.5, which puts them between 2071 and 2079. Every tube is measured on its own, so the exact numbers differ per goggle.

The quality is very nice as the fabric is soft to touch and has some weight to it. The print is great and highly detailed.
