WTF is a mile Hoodie and T-Shirt
Metric system: 1,000 meters. The mile system: hold my beer
Ask a soldier how far a mile is and watch the pain flash across his face. Nobody ever volunteered for those miles, and everybody counted them.

The question every soldier has screamed
Somewhere between the third and the fourth hour under a ruck, the distance stops being a number and turns into an argument. A mile is not a mile any more, it is however many are left, and nobody has ever received a satisfying answer to how many that is.
The design puts that exact moment on the back. It is a joke, and it is also the most honest thing anyone has ever printed about long distance work.
Nobody ever volunteered for the miles
Every army measures suffering in distance. Ruck marches, timed runs, the walk back from the range because the truck left without you. The number itself stops meaning anything after a while and what is left is a rhythm: how far to the next stop, and how many of those between here and the end.
The joke works because it is not really about the unit of measurement. It is about the moment somebody cheerfully tells you it is only another mile, and you have to decide whether to answer or save the breath.
There is no honest answer to how far a mile is. There is only how many are left.
It gets worn by the ruckers, the runners and the people who now do it voluntarily on a Sunday morning, which is its own kind of punchline. Anyone who did the distance recognises it instantly, and anyone who did not will ask what it means.
If you want something with the same weight of fabric and a straighter face, look at Light Infantry or Earn Your Stripes. Sizing carries over one to one.

What people ask about this one
Where is the print, on the front or the back?
The illustration sits large across the back, with only the small Trace logo on the chest at the front. The flag carries the same drawing, 90 by 150 centimetres.
Which colours and sizes does it come in?
The hoodie comes in black, charcoal, olive, heather grey, white. The t-shirt comes in black, dark shadow, olive, heather grey, sand, white. Sizes run from XS up to 3XL. The flag measures 90 by 150 centimetres.
So how far is a mile?
1,609 meters, which is 609 meters more than anyone asked for. That is the entire joke, and every soldier who has done a timed run in miles gets it immediately.
Thick enough for the walk back
The hoodie is a 270 gsm brushed fleece, which is heavy the way a hoodie should be and not the way a ruck is. The t-shirt is 200 gsm cotton, thick enough that the print does not shine through from the inside.
Thirty degrees, inside out, no tumble dryer. The print survives longer than most training plans.
