The line, and what it actually meant
Oppenheimer said it after the first test, quoting a text that is thousands of years old. He was not being dramatic. He had just watched a thing work that could not be taken back.
The design takes that sentence and gives it a picture: figures kneeling around an hourglass, and the future inside it already burning.
The clock does not run backwards
This is one of the darker designs we make, and it is drawn to be looked at rather than laughed at. An hourglass with a future inside it, and the sand still running. The prayer around it does not stop anything, which is the point.
He was not being dramatic. He had just watched a thing work that could not be taken back.
It belongs to a small group of Trace originals that deal with the heavier end of the subject: Prepare To Meet Thy God, Holy Cow and Acting Like Gods sit next to it. They share a look and a certain sense of humour about very serious things, except this one is not joking.
It gets worn by people who like military design with actual weight behind it, and by people who simply know where the line comes from and what it cost.
Same fabric and cut under Light Infantry, so sizing carries over one to one.

What people ask about this one
Where is the print, on the front or the back?
The illustration sits large across the back, with only the small Trace logo on the chest at the front. The flag carries the same drawing, 90 by 150 centimetres.
Which colours and sizes does it come in?
The hoodie comes in black, charcoal, olive, heather grey, white. The t-shirt comes in black, dark shadow, olive, heather grey, sand, white. Sizes run from XS up to 3XL. The flag measures 90 by 150 centimetres.
Where does the line come from?
Oppenheimer quoted it after the first nuclear test, from a text that is thousands of years old. The design gives that sentence an image instead of leaving it as a quote.
A print with weight
The hoodie is a 270 gsm brushed fleece and the t-shirt is 200 gsm cotton. A design with this much line work needs a fabric that does not let it bleed, which is why both are heavier than usual.
Thirty degrees, inside out, no tumble dryer.
